Holiday Learning Strategies

Halloween is coming up.

As a Special Educator and teacher I find that students need a bit of leeway on the days leading up to, the day of, and the day after Halloween.  I like to use those days to review concepts previously covered by playing games.  Not only is it a great way to review concepts, but I can also use it to collect data for interventions or IEP goals.

In this video I modeled a game you can play with your students or children at home.  You could also use this game as learning centers in the general education classroom.

Using games to review and collect intervention data around the holidays. Games are also a good way to review and layer learning when tutoring or providing an intervention.
